These chewing gums contain xylitol, a naturally found sugar, which has several health benefits. According to the ADA, chewing xylitol-sweetened gum has been proven to decrease the amount of bacteria in the mouth, strengthen teeth and reduce tooth decay. It may also help prevent dental cavities and middle-ear infections in children.

It is important to remember that chewing gum should not replace brushing and flossing every day. Brush your teeth twice a day and visit your dental professional regularly to maintain your best oral health.
