To join our supplier diversity program, businesses must be certiﬁed as:
Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
Minority-Owned Business: A business that is at least 51% owned and operated by an individual that is at least 25% African American, Asian, Hispanic, or Native American with U.S. citizenship. If the company is publicly traded, then the stock must be at least 51% minority owned as well.
Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
Women-Owned Business: A business that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled on a daily basis by one or more female U.S. citizens.
Disabled-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE)
Disabled-Owned Business: A for-proﬁt business that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a person with a disability regardless of whether that business owner employs persons with a disability.
Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE)
Disabled Veteran-Owned Business: A sole proprietorship that is at least 51% owned by one or more disabled veterans or, in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock is owned by one or more disabled veterans; a subsidiary that is wholly owned by a parent corporation, but only if at least 51% of the voting stock of the parent corporation is owned by one or more disabled veterans; or a joint venture in which at least 51% of the joint venture’s management, control and earnings is held by one or more disabled veterans.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Business Enterprise (LGBTBE)
LGBT-Owned Business: A business that is at least 51% owned, operated, managed and controlled by a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender person(s) with U.S. citizenship (including non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals).
