It’s that time of the year again where we adjust our clocks. An easy way to help you remember whether you change your clocks backward or forward is to know which season you are in. The two options are spring forward and fall back. This year daylight saving time lands on March 8th. Before you tuck yourselves comfortably into bed, be sure to set your clocks forward an hour.

Spring Forward

In spring, daylight saving time will have you lose an hour of sleep. Adjusting to a new sleep schedule may be the most difficult part. Plan ahead and go to sleep an hour early to get a sufficient amount of sleep. Despite losing an hour of sleep everyone will gain an hour of sunlight. Take advantage of the longer days and improve your health by exercising or participating in an outdoor activity. Here are a few fun activities you can do to keep healthy and enjoy the additional sunlight:

  • Ride a bicycle.
  • Go for a brisk walk.
  • Jog around a park.
  • Meditate or do outdoor yoga.
